Old Hallowell Day

7.26.2006

It was certainly a hot day, but a fun one!

Rude Awakening

After putting the crib together on Sunday, I came home Monday to find Hocus pleased as can be lying the crib. He truly thinks we are putting this whole room together for him, and the looks on his face when he was in the crib was one of "thank you so much -- I love it!".

I'm not the least bit worried about him getting in there when the baby is in there -- I started the mobile on him, and that sufficiently freaked him out. He hasn't been back since. Also, once Baby lets out his first wail, we won't see Hocus for at least a week.

Belly Shot - July 5

Sorry it's not that recent -- more to follow. This is from our trip to Bar Harbor over the 4th of July, our anniversary (the 5th), and Adam's birthday (the 6th). Our room had this great lounger that was perfect to put my feet up on! So far to date (had a 32 week check-up yesterday) I've only gained 16 lbs., and none in the last month! Wohoo! Since I started off above average, this is a very, very good thing.

Latest Sonogram Photos

7.25.2006

We were in for a sonogram on Monday and were able to see baby in 3-d. The images are a bit grainy, but it is a nice glimpse of what he will look like. Daddy talked to him during the sonogram and we enjoyed watching Baby (no, still no name yet) react to his voice.

His eyes opened a little bit, but not for long. He has little tufts of hair -- according to the tech -- we couldn't really see anything. He is currently 4 lbs. 13 oz. which puts him in the 67% percentile. This is right where we want him to be -- 50% percentile would be exactly average, so he's not much above. Right on track for a completely normal size baby.
