Fisher's "Fill-Ins"

Fun forum to share life happenings and photos with friends and family . . . a weak attempt at keeping everyone filled-in on our lives!

FINALLY!

I now have a chance to write a little bit. Henry is on his playmat, cooing at the mobile on top and the saucy minx who's voices plays from the mobile. He's about to get a bath in a bit -- something he really seems to enjoy. Then he'll nurse for a bit and Adam will rock him for well over an hour (he is usually asleep in under five minutes).

Adam got me an IPod for my birthday, and he downloads our favorite daily NPR shows and listens to them as he rocks Henry, so rocking for an hour is a pleasure for both of them.

It's also one of my favorite times -- I can get some things done, get myself ready for bed and just relax a bit.

Hocus seems very interested in Henry, expect when he's crying. He has always been a great cat -- never one to bother us while we are sleeping; he sleeps with us, but only comes to the head of the bed to visit if he knows we are awake, so . . . in the middle of the night, when I am feeding Henry (we do this laying down in bed), Hocus realizes I am awake but doesn't realize what I am doing. He slowly creeps up to see me, which promps me to to shoo him away, since he would be stepping on Henry if he came all the way up to see me. This results in a very dejected and sad Hocus and a very guilty me -- thinking I don't spend enough time with him anymore.

Anyway -- enjoy the pictures!

Time has lapsed since I started this post. Henry ran out of patience with the floormat. He is now squeaky clean (he was tooting in the bath and making bubbles . . . just like Daddy) and being rocked by Adam right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he'll sleep for a good 5-6 hours, but more likely it'll just be a 2-3 hour nap. I try to be in bed and asleep by 9:30 or 10:00 so I can enjoy some of his quite time . . .

My sister has just purchased a digital camera and started a blog of her own. It really is the way to go if you don't have a ton of time and want to share pictures with people who may have problems opening attachments. Take a second to visit her site, http://www.cowieconnection.blogspot.com/.

Good night!
